Recap of Trellis Impact 2025

To close out October, GreenieRE attended Trellis Impact 2025 (GreenFin, Verge, and Bloom) in San Jose,California and spoke on the panel “Leverage and More Leverage: New Models for the Climate Capital Stack.” The conversation brought together innovators across insurance, project finance, and catalytic investment — including our co-founder and board member Christopher Lowell — and featured new ideas that draw in philanthropic capital to support renewable energy project deployment.

During the discussion, fellow panelist Amanda Li of Banyan Infrastructure highlighted the positive impact cross-sector collaboration on risks, timing and data vernacular could bring to project deployment success rates and speed, while Marisa Sweeney of S2G Investments noted key areas for risk mitigation to garner additional capital. GreenieRE’s Lowell also shared how our innovative risk-transfer solutions, such as VentureSurety, are unlocking financing.

The conversation underscored the power of articulating the risks holding back climate infrastructure funding; the need to catalyze risk capital that supports new insurance products meant to analyze, mitigate and transfer risk away from project financiers; and the importance of collaborating across the energy ecosystem and capital stack to close protection gaps.

GreenieRE was honored to participatein Trellis Impact and shed light on the innovative solutions critical to deploying affordable and sustainable energy at-scale.
